Genoa-Hugo School District has an opening for a part-time evening custodian. Hours worked will for a total of 20 hours per week, and hours may vary as needed by the school district. Pay will be based on experience. The successful applicant will be subject to a background check prior to starting. Applications may be obtained at the district office located at 220 West 7th Street, Hugo, Co. or located on website ( for classified employee. Completed applications must be returned to the district. Position will remain open until filled. Genoa-Hugo School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.


Preschool applications
Genoa-Hugo School is STILL accepting applications for the 20-21 year for the 3 and 4 year old preschool. To request an application please call the school 719-743-2428. Space is limited, so to guarantee a spot for your child it is imperative that All forms must be returned to be considered a complete application. Forms can be returned to the school office Monday-Thursday between 8:00-2:00. Parents will be notified by phone in mid-July if your child will receive a spot.

Happy Retirement to Mrs. Marguerite Yowell

Happy Retirement
As the school year comes to a close the students, staff and administration would like to wish Mrs. Marguerite Yowell a Happy Retirement. She has been a dedicated teacher to the district for the past 31 years. She has touched many lives in her path. Although at this time we can not celebrate with a party we would like to help her family with a shower of cards and notes of best wishes. Her address is 38447 County Rd 24, Hugo, CO 80821. Mrs. Yowell will be greatly missed by all.
